Wee Willie Winkie.

                Wee Willie Winkie.

Ben was a little boy who didn’t like to go to bed. ‘It is eight o’ clock, you must go to bed,’ said his mother one summer night.

‘I wish I could be a fairy and play in the garden at night.’ Said Ben.

Hush! Hush! Here is Wee Willie Winkie to see Ben. ‘Come with me,’ he said ‘I will show you what
I have to do to night.’ Off went Ben with Willie.

What fun they had running through the town in their night gowns.

They went up-stairs and down-stairs sending boys and girls to bed. What fun they had rapping at the windows and shouting at the locks.

‘What a bother boys and girls are if they do not got to bed by eight o’ clock,’ said Willie.

‘I cannot go back to fairy land until they go to bed.’ ‘Oh!’ said Ben. ‘I must be a bother to you.’
 running through the town.

Wee Willie Winkie,
Wee Willie Winkie,
Runs through the town,
Up-stairs and down-stairs,
In his night gown,
Rapping at the window,
Crying through the lock,
‘Are the children in their beds?
It’s past eight o’ clock.

Questions.
What is the name of little boy who do not like to go to the bed?
With whom the little boy runs through the town?
What is the responsibility of Wee Willie Winkie?
At what time children should be in bed?
