Little Miss Muffet.


                                                          
                                                              Little Miss Muffet.

Little Miss Muffet was a fairy. The fairy queen was fond of her. She let her have a little tuffet in her garden, by the bank of the pond.

One day she was sent by the fairy queen to water some forget-me-nots. Miss Muffet forgot and went to play by the pond.

By and by, the fairy queen came past and was sad to see her forget-me-nots so ill.

So she sent a big spider to tell Miss Muffet to come and water the forget-me-nots.

He met the wind and said ‘I am looking for Miss Muffet.’ ‘Oh!’ said the wind. ‘She is sitting on her tuffet eating her curds and whey.’

So along went the spider and sat down beside her and frightened Miss Muffet ran away.

‘Do not run off, Miss Muffet. I am sent to tell you to water the forget-me-nots.’

‘Oh!’ I am so sad. I forgot.’ Off she ran to do it.

What did the spider do?

Spider went to the tuffet and ate up the rest of the curds and whey.

        The farmer and three  sons. A farmer had three sons who quarreled with one another all day. He advised them not to use bad words against each other. But they wouldn’t listen. One day he came back from the forest with bundle of sticks in his hand. He sat down and asked each of his sons to take up the bundle and break it into two parts. They tried but in vain.
